Often, in our bias, we assume that immigration is about immigrants coming here to enjoy our better quality of life. However, this current government, in treating immigrants as a personal cheque instead of as people with feelings, has shown us that immigration is a two way street.Unfortunately, many immigrants are leaving Canada after realizing the state of our economy, governance and court systems are broken. We currently have an economy that is so over regulated that we can’t build homes fast enough; one that is so taxed that our only industry is, ironically, real estate. This government has boxed us into a corner where we are reliant on immigrants who bring more money than they take out, and therefore, it would be disastrous if they stopped coming to Canada as an immigration destination.
