The Erosion of Canadian Culture

Canada is an inherently peaceful nation with shared common values passed on from one generation to the next and from one culture to another.  As part of our heritage we welcome all who choose to be part of our nation by contributing to a unified and balanced Canadian community and family.

A History of Cultural Success

For centuries new arrivals into Canada desired to integrate into society.  That process has always been one of our strengths. Newcomers yearned to learn our customs, indigenous and ancestral history, two official languages, religions, sports, music, festivals, food and an abounding arts culture. Social cohesion is vitally important to a peaceful society, and is one of the keys to a long list of attributes that allowed for a successful integration loved by all Canadians from all backgrounds, from sea to shining sea.

The first Trudeau introduced multiculturalism which separated past government’s processes of integrating foreign arrivals once they reached our borders.  Teaching and sharing the wide array of everything Canada has to offer has been an extremely important success factor towards making us one of the greatest countries in the world. These efforts helped immigrants adapt to a new land with renewed hope, a sense of security, a new way of life and most importantly a new place they could call home. It was a melting pot where everyone worked together with shared dreams for the future of our nation.

Established immigrants who traversed to Canada from abroad are the reason Canada is so richly diverse. Ethnic communities from all corners of the world have established lives and successes over many generations in every cosmopolitan city across our great nation.  Many densely populated areas were transformed into authentic ‘places of destination’ to be enjoyed safely by visitors and vacationers who often frequent these locations for a taste of Canadian culture, entertainment and culinary delights.

Aligning with Canadian values, traditions and way of life is essential in order to achieve a cohesive nation built of people from around the world. Denying proper integration has proven to be toxic throughout history; particularly for nations who have removed cohesion and integration from their culture. The same will happen in Canada if we continue on with the mass immigration path we are presently on.

Assimilation Takes Time

Fast-tracking mass immigration is leading to segregation and ethnic conflict.

An Uncertain Future

Our current immigration system is failing us. Racism and resentment are on the rise.  The friction and unease is palpable as Canadians are being affected by the endless mass waves of new arrivals.

At a time where several countries are at war with each other, it is insane to believe that immigrants from warring nations will suddenly be at peace with each other on Canadian soil. Mass immigration without assimilation serves only to sustain these conflicts.

While we no doubt welcome immigration, the mad influx of new arrivals is creating enclaves of foreign identities, both political and religious, living together, but not integrating into the whole of Canadian society.

We must ask ourselves the most important question:  Does this benefit our Canada or does this threaten to divide us further?

Many aspects of life in Canada are being altered by the massive influx of newcomers.  Let’s unite to work on solutions that will help everyone.
